For the first time in WEEKS I finally got back to my machine quilting. I took pictures of a couple of blocks so you could see the freeform pattern I'm creating. It fills the space well and works around the center yo-yo.
I made it a point not to machine quilt too long - my back held up well with no pain, and I want to keep it that way!
Then I was off to run errands - first stop was to my local quilt shop. I LOVE these appliqué pins - I use them daily for my handwork projects. They are short and sharp. Because the pins are short, I'm less likely to catch my thread on them while doing hand appliqué. My shop owner ordered some for me - did you know that very likely your local shop owner can order any notion you might want? ASK!
I don't keep them in the little plastic containers they come in - I dump them all in a small metal container.
Even when the top is off, this container is difficult to tip over and spill. And that is very good for me!
I may do a bit more machine quilting today since my Bernina is still set up for it. And then there's the laundry. And we're going out to dinner with friends tonight - should be a nice day.
Hope you have a nice day, also!
quilting pattern is perfect. Enjoy the weekend!
