Ditch Quilting!

I did what I set out to do! I finished the ditch quilting on Autumn Garden yesterday. Now it's ready for the fun part - the free motion quilting on the blocks.

While I quilted Cooper had a relaxing nap. Too bad he can't get comfortable...haha! Love this dog...

And last night I finally finished the butterflies. So now I'm ready to start over with different fabric. This time I'm hoping to be more exact, also. That center circle is not exactly centered in the bigger circle - it really bugs the heck out of me! And I think my flower stems are too fat. I studied some images of other's RFLQ's on Pinterest yesterday - wow! There are some really talented appliquérs out there! My work looks sad compared to their's. So that is my own personal challenge - to smooth out those curves and make my next block much, much better. And brighter!

So what's on tap today? It's my day for dresdens. And that's what I think I'll do. The next step is to appliqué circles to the centers of the dresdens. Can't wait to get started!

My new little herb garden is coming along...I got plants yesterday, and some seeds, also. I need one more little element and hopefully later today I'll be ready to put it all together. So excited!

Wish you a happy day!
