Let's start off with the hand quilting. I decided to hand quilt the Rowdy Flat Library Quilt, but do it quilt-as-you-go style - one block at a time. I'm happy to report that I finished quilting Block 1! It took me a couple of weeks to do in my spare time. I love the look - totally worth the bit of time and effort. And in the process I discovered that a Rodan and Fields product is perfect to heal my calloused, rough finger that stays under the quilt to feel the needle coming through.
I stitched around every appliqué motif and then did the cross hatching. Wool batting.
I also finished that very ORANGE block for Farmer's Daughter. Yes, it's a bright one!
We had fun at the lake - Mickey loves to ride on the boat.
Hubby took a turn on the Sea Doo - along with Daughter 1 and SIL 1 later.
You know that I took along hand stitching - another Farmer's Daughter block was started and is well underway. I know...more orange...I love orange...
Here's Cooper, along with our grand dog, Scout, waiting for the Sea Doo to return - they love each other so much!
And before the day was over I got LOTS of licks. Fun times!
Today I'm firing up Bernina Stitch Regulator to work on machine quilting Autumn Garden - so close to being done with this one. I'm so ready to add another finished quilt to my list.
I hope you have a fantastic day!
Love that hand quilted block. Your Farmer's Daughters blocks are lovely, the orange gives them pop.
