Here's the final arrangement of Farmer's Daughter blocks. The pattern calls for small 8-pointed stars to be appliquéd on each of the setting triangles, but I think it looks good as is. So I think I'll machine sew the blocks together and call it a day - except for quilting, of course.
Many people were surprised that my design walls didn't make the cut when we moved into our cottage. But I don't miss them! I found that they were always cluttered with various blocks and projects. When I really wanted to use them I had to clear them off first. Now these various blocks and quilts in progress live in bins on a shelf. When I need to play with blocks I lay them out on our bed and then take a picture when I'm happy with it. I can refer to the picture when sewing the blocks together.
Mickey got a new toy over the weekend and he is absolutely in love with it. Cooper got one, too, but he's not quite as enamored. The squeak spooks Cooper a bit.
Enjoy your day!
Well, you are a wonderful "farmer's daughter"! This top is great!!!! I like your layout and the triangle pieces work so well. You didn't use all the blocks or did you? Either way...it's wonderful!
