The day after I publish a new issue of Hexie Love, I'm always a bit tired. Whew!
For some reason a few of my readers are having problems downloading the PDF. Joomag (the magazine software company) tells me it should be working. BUT, please let me know if you have any problems - I aim to please!
The vast majority of you are having no problems. I've heard from many of you who are enjoying the issue and are planning to make several of the projects inside! So glad you are enjoying it!!!! It truly is a labor of love.
I contracted with this company last year to handle my subscriptions and publish each issue. I've not been totally satisfied with their service. I've had lots of input from readers about their customer service experience with Joomag - not alway helpful or even correct.
I'm actively looking for a solution and a different way to get my magazine to you. I would also love to give the option of having it in print - a paper magazine for you to hold in your hands. Just know that I'm working hard on this behind the scenes.
Enough of that!
Today I'm taking a short road trip to hand deliver my completed Odyssey top and backing to the friend who will quilt it for me. I'm lucky in that I have a few friends in the area who are excellent long arm quilters. I try to share the love. I've been working on this quilt top for a year! So hard to believe it's done!
And later, I'm making a grocery trip - getting ready for a nice BBQ lunch on the 4th of July. Usually we just buy the meat from a local BBQ restaurant, but this year I'm trying my hand at cooking a Boston Butt myself. I have it brining now. I've made a rub mix. It will be roasted overnight in the oven - slow cooking. If it turns out well, I'll provide a link to the recipe.
I'm buying most of the sides - Publix has excellent prepared baked beans, potato salad, and slaw, so why make them? Some buns, BBQ sauce, and we have a meal!
Hope you have a great day!
