Hexie Elephant!
This ADORABLE softie comes from my friend, Gerda, of Birmingham, AL. What a phenomenal idea to use hexies to make a softie! Gerda wrote to me that she made this for her grandchild who is due in October. It matches the fuchsia stroller they have ready for her, so she'll have a matching pal while she rolls in style!
Gerda said she got the pattern (FREE!) at Bustle and Sew.
I LOVE this idea!

Hexie Hoop for Moms
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this idea! This is by Anna from The Joy Cottage. Only five hexies, but how cute do they look?! And a sweet Bible verse embroidery. Anna sold these in her Etsy shop for Mother's Day, but I can see doing something similar for gifts for all kinds of occasions.
Thanks so much, Anna, for letting me share your work!
I'd love to share your hexie project, too, even it's it how your store your hexies, or a photo of big pile of hexies. Or how about a photo of WHERE you hexie! In front of the TV? By the pool? In carpool line? On an airplane? My e-mail in in the right sidebar -
Have a happy hexie day!

Lucy's Daughter
I'm finally back after moving to another city. Yay, we're almost done unpacking and I'm raring to get back on the hexie train.
Kelly, from Lucysdaughter.blogspot.com, sent me this photo, saying:
Hello, I have attached a picture of one of my Mom's Hexie quilts for you to share. My Mom, Lucy, hand pieced and hand quilted all of her quilts. Grandma's Flower Garden was her absolute favorite pattern and each of her 5 kids as well as her siblings, cousins and close friends all have at least one of Mom's hexie quilts. I was lucky enough to inherit several of her quilts when she passed and I also inherited her passion for hexies!
Best of luck on your blog and your book!
Kelly
Can you even begin to imagine? That's a TON of Grandmother's Flower Garden quilts!!!!! I would have loved to have known Lucy and seen her at work. Kelly, how lucky you are to be in possession of these masterpieces! Thanks for sharing!
If you have a hexie quilt to share, please let me know!

Hexie Pillow!
Isn't this colorful? Angela Pingel designed this project and she even has a tutorial HERE. Her blog is new to me, but I'll definitely be adding it to my list to read. I suggest you go there immediately in fact! She got pictures there of a new sewing room.....DROOLING.
As someone who is moving to a new house in the next few weeks, I may steal some of her ideas! Thanks, Angela, for letting me share!
