Big Hexies!

I have big hexies on my design wall! I'll be teaching Hexie Mania at Chattanooga in September - a fabulous quilt with no batting or backing needed. Very easy and fast! Peggy designed this and made the quilt in Quick and Easy Hexie Quilts. But I needed to make one of these before I teach the class - kind of hard to teach something you've never done! :)

I just need a few more hexies before I start sewing it together. I can tell I need to move some of the hexie blocks around before that happens.

I have a question for you-

What's the smallest size hexie you've made? I'm working on a mini one now, pictures soon - mine are 1/4. #eyestrain!

  1. Yup...quarter inch. Crazy crazy stuff! One time project. Did NOT enjoy it AT ALL.

  2. I tried 1/4 inch but too small for me. I would love to come to your class in Chattanooga but will probably have to work at the quilt shop.

  3. Half an inch is as small as I've done so far. Not sure I want to tackle the quarter inch hexies. I like small things, but that's a bit too small for my hands and eyes.

  4. 1/2" is the smallest I've made so far.
