YELLOW is the color of the day around here! I love to run a pile of scraps through my Accuquilt die cutter, giving me a new pile of circles to work with. For those of you new to the blog through the AMB Blog Tour, I offer a free hexie Block of the Month pattern - I post a new pattern on the first day of every month. See the tabs at the top of the blog to get the previous patterns for this year. It's not too late to get started! These patterns are very quick and easy! AND we'd love to have you join us at our Yahoo group here: 2014hexiebom-subscribe@yahoogroups.com where everyone can share pictures of their blocks.
Have you started thinking about sashing for your BOM quilt yet? I have! In fact over the weekend I started working on mine. I'll show you what I'm doing on June 1 when I share the June block! Can't wait - are you ready?
I'm so excited that my new book, MORE Quick and Easy Hexie Quilts will be out this Fall - I know you'll love all the fresh patterns.
Yummy yellow! Mmmmm! I am curious as to how you make your hexies. They don't look like they have the support of paper nor do they look basted. So how do you do it? Care to share your method or is it already somewhere on your blog? Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI must try that circle method...........do you use that for all your hexis?
ReplyDeleteI have been thinking of sashing but don't have a good idea yet. Looking forward to seeing what you plan to do.
ReplyDeleteI have yet to decide on the backing fabric never mind the sashing
