Hexies on the Road!

On our long drive from Alabama to Minnesota last week, my daughter and I took turns driving. We did two hours shifts, getting out to stretch when we swapped. When it was her turn to drive, I HEXIED! Yes, I did! Some small ones here...

And some BIG ones here! Amazing what I got done on the road...

Loved this common site in Iowa and Minnesota....lots and LOTS of farms. Lots and LOTS of farm land.  A house, a barn, and a few silos. So many SILOs! Loved seeing these sites along the way.

    1. That's the cool thing about her method - no paper inside the hexie to remove! Her method is the subject of her book, "Hexie Quilts." Makes roadtrip hexies especially easy!

  2. We are leaving tomorrow to go back home after being gone for 2 weeks. By the time we get home Sunday, I hope to have almost 700 hexies finished. ;-) (thankfully my hubby is willing to do the driving).
