New Fabric!

I know, I know... I'm trying not to buy fabric unless I absolutely NEED it! I simply have no place to store any more fabric and need to use what I have. BUT, I did need this sweet eyelash fabric. I'm planning to make some cute zippered pouches with this for my Rodan and Fields customers as Christmas presents. I'll probably tuck a little gift inside.

This was a couple of nights ago. I let the dogs sleep with me since Hubby was gone. Mickey is under the covers so you can't see him, but I promise he's there, too. They were really good and even let me sleep late.

I spent the entire morning cleaning the house. You wouldn't think it would take so long to clean this small house, but I did some extra things I usually don't do. Now it is done and everything looks and smells fresh. Ahhh.

And then there's this other thing I'm working on...mostly on my computer. It has absolutely nothing to do with quilting. But it must be done this month and will take the entire month and then some. I'll tell you all about when it is done, I promise. But I'll still be able to fit in some sewing time. I don't want to lose momentum on my quilting projects.

And other news...a new Rodan and Fields product is coming out later this week. I'm so excited to find out what it is. These products have been life changing for me and that's why I wanted to become a Consultant. I truly believe in quality of this skincare and the fact that it WORKS!

Don't forget to get a flu shot soon! There are already cases of flu. I'm getting mine today.

Enjoy your day!

More Binding Made...

I made more binding yesterday, this time for I'm A Farmer's Daughter. I used the fabric I'd trimmed from the excess backing of New Bedford - it was close at hand!

I love the quilting pattern - curly and fun! Now I have TWO quilts ready to hand stitch binding.

I don't know what I'll work on today. Maybe I'll finally get back to that dress. But first I need to vacuum! And throw some clothes in the laundry. Hubby has been out of town for a couple of days - his mother has been in the hospital. But all is well now and he'll be home later today. Yay!

Have a great one!

Sewing!!! And Sadness....

I prepared this happy blog post last night. And I wake up this morning to the horror that happened overnight in Las Vegas. I was listening to this very concert on my car radio earlier in the day as I went here and there. Prayers for Las Vegas.

And now the blog post...

Look at me! I sewed! This was easy - I had cut the binding pieces way back when I cut out the quilt in the early Spring. All I had to do was sew them together and press. And then I stitched it onto New Bedford. Ready for hand sewing!

I also made some progress on another project. Woohoo!

And I went to a clothing party - yes, I bought a couple of new pieces. And then I did a grocery pickup at Walmart. A very good day, indeed.

Today I hope to make the binding for I'm A Farmer's Daughter. And maybe work on the dress? This dress I'm making? It's really for Spring/Summer. But if I like it I may make another one in fall colors.

Enjoy your day. Be safe. Be thankful.

Sewing????

Sewing? What sewing?

I did sew a good bit Wednesday, but nothing really to show for it. I have less errands/meeting this week, so I'm hoping to be more productive. That dress above? I would love to finish it this week.

I have some beautiful knits and I'd really like to make another dress when I finish the one above.

That secret project? I want to work on it a good bit.

The two quilts recently back from the long armer? I want to make and apply the binding.

If I can do all the above, I'll be a very happy camper!

It didn't help that I had a killer headache yesterday and was pretty much useless. But I woke up feeling wonderful today! And when I took the doggies outside: FALL is here! It's actually COOL! Yippee!

Enjoy your day!

Boats

Yesterday we had to go to the lake to get the boats out of the water before the water level goes down. We could have waited a week or two, but since we both had a free day we decided to go ahead. Hubby and I are always relieved when this is done - so many things could go wrong. But we are getting pretty good at it and all went well. Yay!

So I never got around to sewing, but today I will for sure! I've made a bit of progress in that dress. It has lots of pieces - so lots of seams. I wouldn't mind working on it a bit this morning. And I need to make binding for two quilts, too. Should be a fun day!

Circles...

I started the next Bring Me Flowers block yesterday. There will be a diamond star sewn on top of the circles. It's a fun one!

I feel like I haven't had a big block of time to sew in quite some time. Today I'm going to SEW! For a big block of time! Yay! I'm working on a secret project. And I may sew a bit on that dress I cut out. I hope to be productive!

Have a nice day!

Two More Quilts to Bind...

Yesterday I picked up TWO quilts from a longarmer friend. Here is I'm A Farmer's Daughter.

And here is New Bedford.

But they are not counted as complete until the binding is on! I didn't actually sew yesterday...errands got the best of me. But I did trim these two quilts and I finished cutting out that dress.

While I was running errands I grabbed a Starbucks - the new Maple Pecan Latte. I like it! It's not quite as sweet as the Pumpkin Spice Latte, but still has a nice FALL flavor. Of course, I was absolutely wired all day after all this caffeine!

Have a fun day everyone!
