I was thrilled to learn last night that Mickey Blue Eyes took First Place at Grand Rapids in the pieced category of the Accuquilt Go! Have Fun challenge! Yippee! Still on cloud nine! And yes, Mickey got an extra treat today! :)

Hexie Pillow

Do you remember my friend Jan's brown version of Salsa Verde? Well, now she's made a matching pillow! You really need to click on the picture to make it bigger to see her wonderful perle cotton quilting. The quilt and pillow were gifts for her daughter who LOVED them! Who wouldn't?

Peggy's Getting a New Knee Today

Send good wishes and prayers to Peggy today - she having knee replacement surgery. She's upbeat and optimistic for a speedy recovery. Hopefully after a couple of months of rehab, she'll be walking with no pain!

Vintage Hexies

A quilt to share!!! A friend in my small sewing group brought this old quilt to show us recently. One of her relatives made this in the fifties, I think. Love the pink and turquoise effect!

And earrings to share!!! Aren't these gorgeous hexie earrings???? Peggy made these for me! OMG, I can't wait to wear them! Isn't she multi-talented?!

A Hexie Birthday!

Yesterday was my birthday and look what my daughters got me! You know I love a hexie necklace, especially when it's acid green!

Big news: just shipped off my next hexie book proposal to AQS! Can't wait to hear back from them!
