Marmalade

Yesterday I did some machine piecing, putting my strip sets to work to make bigger units for my Marmalade quilt. The units to the right are complete - I've made all 12 of them. I need to make more of the bigger sized units, and there are other various sized units to make, too. This is a fun project - love the bright colors!

I was in the mood to cook. I made a zucchini and brown rice casserole, cole slaw, and a sour cream blueberry pie to go with our grilled chicken last night. (Don't worry - the pie was low on sugar and I substituted nonfat plain Greek yogurt for the sour cream - not to many calories!)

Today I think I'll make it a hand stitching day.  And we're going out to dinner with friends, so no cooking today.

Wishing you a happy Saturday!

  1. The pie looks good even though I'm not a fan of blueberries. Sounds like a delicious dinner! The units are looking great - you have moved the project forward a lot!
