Basting, Basting, Basting!

Yesterday I woke up sick. Sore throat, etc. Yuck. But I did manage to get the first row of my Lollypop Tree basted.

It really helps to have a 9 foot dining room table. I got rid of my cutting table when we moved  - I used to use it for basting. But the dining room table works great!

I also basted a pile of hexies for Bliss. I'll be using this fabric today to baste more hexies...that is, if I feel like it. At the moment I'm not so sure I'll get anything done.

And here's a random shot of Cooper with his favorite toy this morning. You can tell I don't feel well when I don't use many exclamation marks....

Here's to rest and fluids....

  2. Sorry you are under the weather, that's so miserable in the summer. I'm curious if you protect your table in some way when you baste there? My best idea so far has been to put down my largest cutting mat, but I'd love to hear if you've got another clever trick.

  6. That was a lot to do, especially for a sick person! I'm amazed you got that whole first row basted. That's a lot of basting! It's going to be gorgeous. Hope you feel better already.
