Half Square Triangles!


I've been stitching half square triangles this weekend: scrappy goodness! These will finish at 3" square.


You know their purpose, don't you? Yes, it's the sashing for the 2014 Hexie BOM quilt! My goal is to have this top done before Thanksgiving - I think I'll make it. Yay!

    Oh this will finish up so nicely! Great idea--did you applique those hexies? I always have "edge" problems with mine...hugs, Julierose

    This is gonna be fun!!! Can't wait to see how yours turns out - along with all the others too. Just ordered some 3/4" hexie papers for next year! OH BOY.

    what a good idea, nearly bought fabric for my backing, sashing etc at the weekend but was dithering, glad I did not as you have planted a seed with those half square triangles

    Love the colours! Reminds me of jelly beans and I think it will be a great finish for your BOM quilt!
